I found this site which had an assortment of interesting photographs. This one struck me in particular: Look at those stairs! I would be so scared of falling off I would never bold enough to venture up to the second level! I don't think I've seen anything like that before.
(also, it doesn't stike me as very sensible leaving the cusions there. Someone will fall over them...)
