Salad

Tonight I had some salad for dinner. At first I thought it was just the usual lettuce, tomato, cheese and cucumber combination and so on a scale of 1-10 my anticipation factor to eat it was sitting at a 5. But then I found out that it actually contained olives and avacado and it went up to a 8.5. All it needed was some sun-dried tomatoes, beetroot and onion and it would have been a perfect 10.

But it got me thinking. Salad, as a meal, has the potential to be absolutely amazing, or just average, and it only takes an extra ingredient to make or break it.

And I was struck by how profound that is.
